Still, I haven't yet found an upper time bound for the c-threaderciser under
valgrind. On a machine, where the test normally runs in between 5 to 50
seconds, I saw

On yet another machine, I saw it timeout even with 1500 second limit.
The problem is, I don't know how to take a backtrace of a program running in
valgrind, to see if it is just running slow, or it will never terminate.
