Thanks Alex, I hadn't seen the mail about this being needed from July 1st.

I see you removed it already, but just a note on the way you
configured the staging feature. As you set the publish and staging
bits to the same live branch, they would both publish the same thing
at the same time. You would typically set a different branch for
staging if using it, so they could be published separately.

By adding+removing the staging bit, you also populated the staging
area with a copy of the site which would then remain without update. I
have just created a basic notice page directing folks to go to the
main site and published that to the staging area to clear out the
regular content and make clear its not being used.
