Does it seem to be reproduceable for you? You can run just that test via:
ant -Dtest.base.pattern='**/FileStreamsTextFileWriterTest.java' test
It passed in my workspace on macos, though testWriterWatcherReader failed...
but all passed on the 2nd run :-/
