I have a Mac, and I was able to set up my environment by installing rbenv (using Homebrew) as suggested in the Stack Overflow post. The README <https://github.com/rbenv/rbenv> in the rbenv GitHub repo has some steps on how to install it. After installation, you can check that your active Ruby version is correct.
