I've noticed PLT/Racket servers down a few times over the years.
I don't know how frequent the downtime is, but I could imagine downtime of the PLaneT server in particular being disconcerting to someone whose software depends on PLaneT.
If anyone is thinking about server availability, for PLaneT, also keep in mind that there is still opportunity to improve the security and trust of PLaneT, and that how you choose to improve availability might complicate improving security.
