The important questions about this are:

1. Does it affect your attention to the "above-the-fold" text?
2. Are you more likely to read "below-the-fold" text than text on
another page that you have to click to?

Most significantly, we should really really use Noel et al's Myna
[http://mynaweb.com/] tool to test this empirically.
