Hi [~coheigea]. you are right.
We have also used this kind of scheme to configure solr plugin. This scheme
needs user maintain a user list in solr side. In some scenes user does not need
authenticate when used solr. now solr plugin of ranger doesn't support the
case. Our customers have the kind of requirement.
About RANGER-1671. did you test it when the kerberos was opened. The issue will
have problem when the kerberos was opened. You can test this case to verify the
function.
