On my side I'm in version 3.0 of kafka and I have applied your fix on the
master branch of Ranger, so the deployed version is 3.0.0-SNAPSHOT
I have activated the debug mode in my plugin logs and obtain the attached file,
I don't know if you can see something interesting related to the error message
I got.
