Ramesh Mani commented on RANGER-790:
------------------------------------

[~aneela] That is what expected. When you do a manual enable plugin, it puts
the symlink to ranger-hbase-plugin-shim-0.5.0.jar and
ranger-plugin-classloader-0.5.0.jar in /usr/components/hbase/lib and
ranger-hbase-plugin-impl will be in the ranger-hbase-plugin folder. This will
be referred dynamically when ranger hbase plugin gets invoked by hbase master
and region. We don't need to explicitly copy it into /usr/components/hbase/lib
folder.

In case of manually copying ranger-hbase-plugin-shim-0.5.0.jar and
ranger-plugin-classloader-0.5.0.jar into /usr/components/hbase/lib, you need to
copy ranger-hbase-plugin-impl folder also. That is what we expect. This I
shall document in ranger wiki

> ranger-hbase-plugin-impl folder not being copied to hbase/lib folder

> When we enable HBase plugin, it does not create a soft link to
> ranger-hbase-plugin-impl folder under hbase/lib folder
