Dilli - thanks for catching this. As Selva mentioned, the tar included many files used by IntelliJ/Eclipse IDEs - hence the mismatch in size.
Rangers - I updated the files under http://people.apache.org/~madhan/ranger/ranger-0.5.2-rc1 with the release files generated from a clean local repo. Please verify.
