Madhan Neethiraj commented on RANGER-222:
-----------------------------------------
[~shreymehrotra] Ranger requires the repository name to be unique. If you can
use the same name when creating repositories, you can be sure to not have
duplicates.
BTW, Ranger repository configurations - like Namenode-URL, HiveServer2 URL, are
used only for resource-lookup to help entering resource values in policies.
Ranger does not mandate these configuration values to be valid - when not
valid, the users will not "auto-fill" while entering resource values in
policies.
> Multiple repository creation for single cluster from RANGER-ADMIN UI.

> RANGER-ADMIN UI allow creation of multiple repository of one type(HDFS, Hive)
> for same cluster. Since agents pull only from one repository, we could
> prevent Admin from creating multiple repositories for same cluster.
