Ranger Dev Community: Apache Ranger has been in active development – thanks to many contributors. Since the last major release 0.5, there have been many significant features added – tag based policies support, authorization support for additional components (Atlas, Nifi), Kerberos support for Ranger components, UI enhancements to name a few.
Considering these developments, I propose to do a release of Apache Ranger 0.6.0 and start the release process within next few days. Also, I am proposing to create a new branch ranger-0.6 and continue Ranger 0.6.0 release activities in that branch. Please let me know if you have any suggestions and/or concerns on starting the release process for Apache Ranger 0.6.0 (incubating). Thank you, Vel
