Colm O hEigeartaigh commented on RANGER-1130:
---------------------------------------------
The former. Syncope can sync in users/groups from backend resources, and expose
them via a simple REST API. So it should be pretty easy to add an extension to
the usersync service to import users/groups that way.
> Considering extending usersync to support Apache Syncope

> Right now we can sync users/groups in from LDAP and UNIX. We should also
> consider supporting Apache Syncope. Syncope offers a REST API so we can
> easily pull in users/groups in Ranger. Syncope is a powerful IdM solution,
> that supports multiple backend connectors to pull users/groups from LDAP, AD,
> DBs, web services etc.
