question: How does the circles match up with Shindig friends? Do they work

or are they competing? Do we remove the existing friend concept in Rave?

response: I think they have to work together. How we do that .. I'm not
completely sure. I'd like to make a pipeline request in a gadget and get
friends plus any groups/connections.

question/statement: I assume you mean "Each person has...", any social
stuff should be attached
to the person not the user. This is important because we've already
discussed there might not always be a one-to-one relationship between users
and people.

response: completely agree that is my fault for interchanging those terms.
User in this regard is person not the User security object.
