Ryan Baxter created RAVE-913:
--------------------------------
Summary: Rave needs a "developer mode"
Key: RAVE-913
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/RAVE-913
Project: Rave
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 0.22
Reporter: Ryan Baxter
When using Rave as a developer it would be great to render gadgets that are not
included in the catalog. The catalog approval process is great for production
environments but is really a pain when you are a developer just trying to test
different gadgets. The main place where this is a hindrance is with embedded
experiences in the activity stream. If I am using an activity stream gadget in
Rave and I am testing an app that is posting activity stream entries with
embedded experiences I need to make sure every embedded experience gadget that
is posted to the stream is in the catalog in order for it to render. If we
could put Rave in "developer mode" and allow any gadget to be rendered this
would make the developer experience much better.
