Matthias Niederhausen created RAVE-922:
------------------------------------------
Summary: Improve/describe rave deployment
Key: RAVE-922
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/RAVE-922
Project: Rave
Issue Type: Bug
Components: build & development
Affects Versions: 0.21
Reporter: Matthias Niederhausen
For a test environment, we wanted to deploy Rave on a server on standard HTTP
port 80. It seems that port 8080 is defined in a lot of files. Trying to change
this, I failed miserably getting Rave to work. I've tried a lot of different
stuff, but I always encounter the meltdown message after logging in.
Same goes for when I try to build Rave myself from the trunk, even with port
8080. However, just using the stable version as it is, seems to work. I have
the feeling that I am missing some fundamental point.
I therefore suggest that there be just one file where I can change server, port
and system proxy settings, and that file should be editable after deploying.
Also, a good instruction on how to setup the server with port (and proxy)
settings would be very helpful.
