Sounds like this was resolved, but I wanted to throw in my post-facto +1 for
Chris' concerns and approach.
Also, in the future, can we have this discussion on the list and not in a JIRA
ticket? I didn't see it because JIRA issue mails come in by the hundreds.
This is the kind of thing we want to make sure the whole dev community can
weigh into.
