Jmeas Pls created RAVE-1285:
-------------------------------

Summary: Profile – Remove placeholder Widgets
                 Key: RAVE-1285
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/RAVE-1285
             Project: Rave
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: Jmeas Pls
            Priority: Minor

On the profile there are currently placeholder widgets that appear when you
install Rave from the Master branch. I think they should be removed from the
Profile page.

The argument I can think of in favor of the widgets is that it shows people
that the profile page can, in fact, have Widgets. But the consequence is that a
fresh install of Rave isn't in a usable state. It requires that you go in and
modify the Profile's template to not have those Widgets.

This is compounded by the fact that there's no easy way to make changes to the
profile page, such as from the Admin panel.

Better documentation could be created to impart the knowledge onto users of
Rave that the Profile can have Widgets, but doesn't by default.

This would make Rave usable out of the box, while still giving users the
functionality that they're used to.
