Hi everyone,
Here’s a brief summary of our weekly Apache ResilientDB (Incubating)
community meeting held on *October 27, 2025* for those who couldn’t attend:

Attendees: Aman Dwivedi, Bismanpal Anand, Chenyi Zhou, Dakai Kang, Dhairye
Gala, Henry Chou, Himanshu Nimonkar, Junchao Chen, Kaustubh Shete, Mohammad
Sadoghi, Shaokang Xie, Zehong Ruan

This week’s meeting covered updates and progress across multiple
ResilientDB projects, including the ResVault wallet, ResCanvas development
and repository management. Team members shared technical progress,
collaboration updates, and discussed improvements to workflow and
documentation as part of ResilientDB’s continued incubation and research
initiatives.

Action Items :
- Deprecate standalone repositories and add clear deprecation messages
linking to the consolidated ResilientDB monorepo for improved
maintainability and onboarding.
- Review and approve pending PRs for the latest updates in ResVault and
ResCanvas, ensuring recent fixes and improvements are merged.
- Clean and maintain the ResilientDB Discord server to improve contributor
engagement, transparency, and collaboration.

*Project Updates and Demo Planning*
The team discussed several ongoing projects and updates. Bismanpal reported
on meetings with Henry regarding ResCanvas and ResVault, as well as
discussions with Aviral about the MCP project and coordination with
Sophie's team to avoid overlap. Junchao mentioned progress on the North
Finality project and refining the ResilientDB paper, while also working on
a pacemaker-related change.

*Donation Platform Demo and Integration*
Aman demonstrated a donation platform with a landing page, login
functionality, and a Chrome extension that allows users to donate
rounded-up amounts from online purchases. The platform includes features
like Google sign-in, donation tracking, and payment processing through
Stripe, with collected funds transferred to charities based on user
preferences. Mohammad suggested exploring the possibility of using ResVault
tokens (RoK) as a payment method, which Aman agreed could be an interesting
expansion.

*ResilientDB and ResCanvas Updates*
The team discussed updates on ResilientDB and ResCanvas. Bismanpal
explained that all ecosystem tools are integrated into ResilientDB, and
Aman confirmed they can incorporate ResilientDB directly. Mohammad
emphasized the importance of keeping the repository updated. Henry provided
updates on ResCanvas, mentioning fixes for wallet signing issues and
improvements to the API. He also discussed potential improvements to the
monorepo and suggested creating a Discord server for developer support.

*Discord Server for Volunteer Coordination*
The team discussed utilizing the existing ResilientDB Discord server to
better coordinate with volunteers, with Bismanpal offering to clean up and
organize the channels. Henry and Mohammad confirmed that the Discord link
is valid and accessible through the website, with Bismanpal being granted
admin access to make necessary improvements. The group agreed to include
the Discord link in weekly meeting minutes.

*Ending Note:*
The team made strong progress on multiple fronts, including wallet
integration, Canvas updates and repository alignment. The discussion
reflected ResilientDB’s commitment to structured collaboration, improved
contributor experience, and strengthening its research and engineering
foundation as it advances through Apache incubation.
