Hi everyone,
Here’s a brief summary of our weekly *Apache ResilientDB (Incubating)*
community meeting held on *November 17, 2025* for those who couldn’t attend:

Attendees: Aahan Rathod, Bismanpal Anand, Chenyi Zhou, Dakai Kang, Devang
Borkar, Harish Krishnakumar, Henry Chou, Junchao Chen, Mohammad Sadoghi,
Shaokang Xie, Zehong Ruan

Brief Summary:
This week’s meeting centered on debugging backend issues, refining
deployment pipelines, and aligning priorities for the next ResilientDB
release. The team addressed GraphQL and endpoint timeout problems,
discussed cleanup and configuration updates, and reviewed plans for tool
development under the ResAI initiative. Progress was also made on
repository organization, monorepo transition, and planning for the
implementation of the ROK token currency.

Action Items:

- Raise a bug for broken buttons on the documentation page; move frontend
applications to Vercel and set up Docker containers for backend projects;
discuss deployment. pipeline; begin implementing ROK token currency
and coordinate with contributors; clean up the repository for the next
release.
- Raise a vote to bring Henry into the PPMC; create an issue for revamping
configuration file generation; continue debugging GraphQL issues and notify
for review.
- Review and merge Harish’s cleanup PR; look into checkpointing
implementation; merge the code into a new branch; continue partition
experiment analysis.
- Continue work on demo video and pull requests; collaborate with Harish
and Junchao on GraphQL debugging; assist with backend improvements.

*Beacon, GraphQL, and Endpoint Debugging*
The team began by addressing technical issues on the ResilientDB website
and backend. Harish and Bismanpal identified broken beacon links on the
documentation pages and will raise a bug to assign a fix. The team
discussed persistent GraphQL server issues, with Henry, Harish, and Junchao
collaborating to debug on the development instance. Endpoint timeout errors
on production were mitigated by switching to the dev server, and the team
plans to analyze logs for malformed data or JSON validation issues.

*ResAI Tool Development and Next Release Planning*
The team aligned on developing three core tools under the ResAI initiative:
a Prometheus-based monitoring tool, an automated Ansible playbook for cloud
setup, and a documentation generator triggered by PRs. These will form the
basis of a short demo paper planned for December. The group also discussed
configuration cleanup tasks and standardizing config file generation
scripts in preparation for the upcoming release.

*Repository and Deployment Strategy*
Bismanpal outlined steps for improving deployment efficiency, moving
frontend apps to Vercel and containerizing backend systems using Docker.
Harish and Bismanpal discussed deprecating legacy repositories and
finalizing the monorepo transition. The team reviewed plans for
implementing the ROK token as the native ResilientDB currency and engaging
with related teams for integration and gas fee calculation.

*Ongoing Projects and Research Work*
Junchao updated on the checkpointing work and partitioning experiments,
while Devang shared progress on ResShare redeployment and UI improvements.
Shaokang reported on Cassandra pipelining and research documentation. Henry
continued work on the demo video and reviewed PRs from the Hacktoberfest,
with the team agreeing to refine UX changes before deployment.

*Ending Note:*
The meeting reflected steady technical progress and cross-team
collaboration. From debugging critical backend issues to preparing new AI
tools and improving deployment pipelines, the team continues to strengthen
ResilientDB’s infrastructure and documentation as part of its incubation
journey toward graduation.

Best,
