Sorry to create an extra message, but another option, specifically for the likes of iOS is to consider a Bonjour layer within Jini, but we may want to look at this as a way of the LUS 'advertising' services with standard Jini being the main one as now, but pluggable advertisers for the likes of Bonjour,etc.
