Please keep the binary distribution. I can't imagine that it is so hard
to keep the few extra lines in the scripts.

As I understand it, the main argument for getting rid of the binary
distribution is a lack of practical uses. The most powerful counter to
that argument would be to describe one or more ways the binary
distribution is used, or is likely to be used in the future.
