Okay, I've just committed the changes which effectively alter all (hopefully) of the entry points into the UI so that they point to struts2 urls. So if you grab the current trunk and start playing around you should be on all the new struts2 actions which you can identify because the urls all end in ".rol" now.

Since I know that we'll be finding various bugs with the new struts2 code I've created a new JIRA component for 'Struts2 Migration' so for anyone who is working out of the current trunk please submit any issues you find with the new actions under that component so that we can track them appropriately.

And finally, here's a short list of struts1 actions which didn't get migrated because either I didn't think it made sense or because it didn't seem to be used ...

PlanetPageAction - legacy url from pre-3.0 planet users which doesn't need to be a struts action.

ImportEntriesAction - dunno what this is for or if it is supposed to be working.

ToggleLinkbackDisplayAction - dunno what this is for or if it is supposed to be working.

planet actions (config, groups, subs) - cuz i just haven't gotten to it yet :/

that's it. grab the current trunk, try it out, and report any bugs you find in JIRA. i'll be entering the list of current bugs that i know of into JIRA shortly.

Subject: ready to switch to struts2?

As I said in my last email I am feeling fairly close to being done with the struts2 migration work, at least the initial part of getting all the actions rewritten and working via struts2. So if nobody objects I'd like to commit the final changes which effectively makes struts2 the default interface. I want to get this going now so that people start using it and can help me find what bugs have been introduced via the migration since I definitely won't be able to find them all myself. The old struts1 code will still be left in place and unaltered, so there really isn't much work to switch back and forth if we needed to.
So is everyone ready to switch to Struts2?
