I agree that Flickr, YouTube and Slideshare support would be nice.
It'd also be cool to specify a URL (i.e. http://static.raibledesigns.com/repository/images
) and have it import (or at least display) all the images.

Hi Angel,
For some reason, I did not receive your earlier email on this. I
just found
it in the archives.
Currently, we have thought on a feature where blogger will be able
to pick
an external resource by specifying a URL. We will expand it to
facilitate
integration with Flickr and other picture galleries. Thank you very
much
for your inputs.
Thanks,
Ganesh

+1,
But as I said before. I would like to see this integrate with
Flickr, not
everyone keeps their resources local. But that might be future
enhacements.

Sounds like a good plan to me.

Ganesh and Tanuja have been doing some very nice work on the Media
Blogging proposal. They've done a full proposal, created mock-ups
for
the UI, outlined the POJO and manager changes and have even done
UML-like sequence diagrams for some of the actions.
Here's the proposal with links to the artifacts I mentioned:
http://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/x/rnkB
Now they'd like to start sharing some patches with us, initially
just
UI wireframes (JSP pages and no-op Struts actions) so I'm going to
create a new branch for them. It will be called
branches/roller_mediablogging and I plan to use it for this initial
design work and then the actual implementation. Ganesh and Tanuja
have
CLAs on file with us but they are not committers yet, so I'll be
doing
all the actual commit/merge work for now.
Speak up now if you object to this and/or have a better plan for
us to
consider for this work.
