I don't have a clue why blogs.a.o runs out of heap so quickly. I made a couple of small changes in hopes of addressing the problem. I disabled the planet aggregator because it was not being used, turned off the aggregator related tasks and upgraded from Tomcat 6 to Tomcat 7.
I'll take over restart duties for now and keep and eye on things.
