Hello Group, The problem was not with Tomcat or Roller. I had recently updated my JDK to 7. It was JDK 7 that was causing the slowness. I have not fully investigated as why the application is slow in Jdk7 but I believe the reason is due to the new SplitVerifier option. For now I have moved back to JDK 6, and now the application is working quite alright.

And the memory is not an issue because that memory was never used. I have intel i7 (quad core) system, and its hardly used. So computation power or memory is not an issue. I am using custom template, and my guess is may be thats giving some issue.
