Are those files it's having trouble reading actually in your local
repository? If so you may wish to delete those local files and run
Maven again so it will download them again (maybe some files got
corrupted).
I'm not sure I understand your question -- you can personally include
whatever third-party widget (like the custom search box) you want into
your local blog so long as you agree with that widget's terms of
service. Should Roller ditch its own search box and incorporate
Google's? We can't really do that because each blog owner needs to get
his own Google custom search box, individually agree to the terms of
service, etc. Besides, I think there's enough nifty Apache projects
(probably Lucene) that can give us our own search box that will do a
good job.

Sorry to be long about contribution for database storage about images.
I had to work about replacement classic search by google custom search.
I hope we could put online a new release of our blog with Google Site
Search (paid option for custom search). We will have the same look and feel
than actual internal search.
I wonder if it is legal to integrate Java version from Google into Roller ?
No problem with licence.
