Purpose: We publish a weekly foundation blog (Apache News Round-up) which includes details about the ASF activities of the past week. This blog also includes the details of the project's release updates of the past week. While writing the blog, we get the project's release information from the announcement mails on [email protected] list [1]. So, if we include [email protected] in release update mail, this details can also be incorporated in the weekly Apache News Round-up. Please refer 'Apache Project Announcements' section of last week blog [2] for more details. Also, please note that you can not post on the ASF-wide announcement list ([email protected]) without the usage of "apache.org" mail address, for more information please refer [3].
