Hi, Thanks for signing up to be part of the initial PPMC for Apache PLC4X project. If you have not already done so please sign up to the email lists by sending an email to each of these: [email protected] [email protected] As a PPMC member, you are responsible for the general project, code, legal, branding, trademarks and community oversight.
All PPMC members (and mentors) need to be subscribed to the project’s private mail list, which is used to discuss issues unsuitable for an open, public forum, such as people issues (e.g. new committers, problematic community members, etc.), security issues, and the like. Care should be taken to minimize the use of the private list, discussing everything possible on the dev public list. The private PPMC list is *private* - it is strictly for the use of the PPMC. Messages are not to be forwarded to anyone else without the express permission of the PPMC. Also note that any Member of the Foundation has the right to review and participate in any PPMC list, as a PPMC is acting on behalf of the Membership. Finally, the PMC is not meant to create a hierarchy within the the community. All community members are invited to participate in the project, and if they contribute to the project they are likely to be invited as committers or PPMC members. To help PPMC members get started here are some links [1][2] that we help in you your role. As some of you have not been committer before these links [3][4] should also be of help. If you have any other questions about how the ASF works please ask on the dev list and one of the mentors or other ASF members will answer any questions you have. Welcome aboard!
