We moved from our local git server to private GitHub repositories here with our company projects. Additional to those "Release Milestones" we've introduced "Monthly sprints Milestones". So, basically +1 for milestones.
I guess your "Jewel" project will be processed over several releases. In that case, maybe it makes sense to create a separate "Jewel" project for this [1]. Issues could be assigned to projects and milestones as well.
