FWIW, I agree with Harbs. Enough time has passed and changes have been made
that it is time to try making Jewel dependent on Basic so we can see in code
(not words) what the problems are with doing that.

My 2 cents,

    Hi,

I'm mostly done...well, there' still lots of things to do...but, I must cut
    on a point.

Harbs, for my experience, I had to rewrite many things in the copied &paste
code from Basic (as I predicted). If you find a class in Jewel called
XYZ.as. that class will share some percentage of code with Basic, that will
depend on cases. I think this is not the time to do what you're doing, as
it was not the time to make package name changes, and for that reason I
    revert that.

If this is a work in order to see what's involved in Jewel for me is ok,
but given the fact that I'm designing it separate from Basic, I think
that's not a work that will close us to a release.

About AMF: What we have in develop works, what comes from MXRoyale, doesn't
works only compiles. So I think AMF & MXRoyale/AMF will need to live
separately at least for a time.

To all. I think we need to lower expectatives of what we want to release:
We had many work done for this release: AMF/RemoteObject, Jewel UI Set,
    MXRoyale, SparkRoyale.

The first two are working, the last two only compile but doesn't do
    anything right now.

We need to focus and see what we really want to release, since not we can
enter in a process that could be very time consuming and could carry the
    release 1-2 months ahead.

    Don't think anyone wants that.

*For me the goal is integrate MX/SparkRoyale in Develop without break
    Jewel/AMF*

Trying now to make Jewel depend on Basic is very dangerous because:

1.- You must to plan to change many many files I did that no more are like
    it were in Basic

2.- I expresen many times that Jewel cannot have Basic dependency.

I've been working without rest to get out as much as possible, and I have
projects waiting that can make more people and clientes come to Royale.

Do we want to go the route we are taking? Or do we want to be practical and
get out a great and huge release we what we have?

Is about release what we have, or start to modify all and then release,
what I ensure, will be a matter of weeks ahead, and taking into account
that I'm working on Jewel that is made to not be linked to Basic

Let me know what do you think

    Thanks!

    Carlos
