Yes, this is an on-going situation with Git@ASF. There were concerns
about what was possible with the current implementation of Git while
meeting the ASF's release requirements.
Last I was following, it's still being worked on. So, for the time
being, be careful pushing as you won't be able to remove accidentally
pushed branches by yourself.
