I am new to OpenOffice Calc, but have quite a bit of experience with Excel. What is involved in validating spreadsheet functions? I would like to help, but have very little programming experience. I work with MS Office 2003 and Windows XP Professional.
Programming isn't required. Pick a function where you know what it's supposed to do (beyond the simple examples in the online help), and try to make test cases for all the different modes and corner cases, comparing to known good results. Some individual problems have been found in the past, and collected in the issues that issue 18704 depends on, but systematic tests would certainly be valuable.
