Hello

Thanks for the heads up. Am cc'ing the Calc list for their attention.

Best,

Hi webmasters.
I'm using OpenOffice 2.0 beta under Windows XP.
In general I'm very happy. Everything I've tried works as advertised.
However I think there's a minor error in the Help for functions, under QUARTILE, which appears as

QUARTILE
Returns the quartile of a data set.

Syntax
QUARTILE(Data; Type)

Data represents the array of data in the sample.

Type represents the type of quartile. (0 = MIN, 1 = 25%, 2 = 50% (MEDIAN), 3 = 75% and 4 = MAX.)

Example
=QUARTILE(A1:A50; 2) returns the value of which 25% of the scale corresponds to the lowest to highest values in the range A1:A50.

In the example Type=2 should give the median (50% value), not the 25% value as stated.

I think that anyone who knows enough to be using the quartile function would pick this up, but perhaps it should be fixed in the next version.

Thanks for an excellent product.

Ian Mason
