The documents provided on the Microsoft Compound Document file format  
and Excel file format have proven an invaluable resource, I  
appreciate their availability.  I'd like to submit a correction or  
addition to the compound document header (section 4.1) in regards to  
the "Minimum standard stream size" field.  The current document (rev  
1.2) reads that this field is most commonly 4096 bytes.  After  
banging my head against a wall for a while I discovered that, at  
least on the Mac platform, values smaller than 4096 bytes are not  
respected and replaced with the default 4096 bytes.
