Yes, unfortunately (for Windows users) that had been introduced as a new
requirement.

I thought you used cygwin to build on? Doesn't that have a recent gperf
package?

You'll see whether gperf is able to generate the hash tables in those
modules. If it does, fine. If it breaks we may have to workaround
things, the filters aren't essential anyway.
