Riley Kuttruff created SDAP-437:
-----------------------------------

Summary: Allow for squeezing of dataset dimension(s) prior to
slicing
                 Key: SDAP-437
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SDAP-437
Project: Apache Science Data Analytics Platform
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: granule-ingester
            Reporter: Riley Kuttruff

Some granules, such as those in a VIIRS dataset we're using for testing [1],
have an extra, single element dimension for time. This causes generated tiles
to have an incorrect shape.

A solution to this could be allowing users to specify any extraneous dimensions
to be squeezed prior to generating tile selection specs.

This could potentially be extended to supporting any number of granule
preprocessing steps that may be necessary to get correctly formatted tiles.
