"for that to work we will need a special raft group that will hold the LOCK_MAP, this group maintains the locks and will need to be “consulted” before any branch session is locked." Why not have a fixed raft grouping to handle all branch transactions under the global transaction? Kind of missing the context here, maybe add a note about it?
