Hello Community, Apache SeaTunnel (incubating) has learned and grown a lot since our incubation in Dec 2021.
I’d like to start a discussion about graduation as TLP for Apache SeaTunnel(Incubating). I've summarized some of the data below: - There are 456 emails sent by 72 people in dev mailing-list excepted GitBox forwarded - Released 8 Apache releases, through 5 different release managers - Invited 15 new committers (all accepted) - Invited 4 new PPMC members (all accepted) - There are 174 contributors for now - 1364 Issues created during ASF incubating, 1063 Issues resolved during ASF incubating - 2292 PRs created during ASF incubating, 2225 PRs merged during ASF incubating - finished the Podling Maturity Assessment for SeaTunnel [1], all items are passed - have created the issue [2] to ensure whether "Apache SeaTunnel" is a suitable name We have finished the following checks. 1. We updated our Website [3] content, document and so on according to Apache rules,we used the url [4] to check and found no potential issue. 2. The status file [5] has been completed. For more details, see the checklist [6],welcome to check and add what need doing. I think we are ready for graduation as Apache TLP. About PMC, committer and project VP: I recommend keeping all PPMC(includes mentors) members to PMC, and keeping all current committers as committers too. Considering almost committers are new guys for SeaTunnel, I think they may need more experiences for open source community governance, we can vote committers to PMC one by one after graduation. current full PMC list: * Calvin Kirs <[email protected]> * Chao Tian <[email protected]> * Gary Gao <[email protected]> * Guo William <[email protected]> * Jean-Baptiste Onofré <[email protected]> * Jia Fan <[email protected]> * Jiajie Zhong <[email protected]> * Jun Gao <[email protected]> * Kevin Ratnasekera <[email protected]> * Lidong Dai <[email protected]> * Lifeng Nie <[email protected]> * Ricky Huo <[email protected]> * Ted Liu <[email protected]> * Wenjun Ruan <[email protected]> * Willem Ning Jiang <[email protected]> * Zhenxu Ke <[email protected]> * kid Xiong <[email protected]> I recommand myself as project VP because I have done a lot of work in the community, besides coding and document, I also do something like holding up meetup with other communities and promoting SeaTunnel at various conferences and continue to build the community to make the community more diverse and so on. Welcome to discuss.
