Issue Type: Task

h1. Introduction
We are working on graduating Sedona to be a top level project. The very first
step is to assess the maturity of Sedona. I will quantify this using two
metrics: (1) community statistics (2) Apache Project Maturity Model
([https://community.apache.org/apache-way/apache-project-maturity-model.html)]
The content of this issue will be updated over time until the graduation of
Sedona.
