sparkSession.read.format("binaryFile") is exposed by spraklyr as
spark_read_binary. So that's good.
The only issue to have that working in 1.4.0 is the dependency on
org.geotools:gt-arcgrid:28.2. Will that be added to a release of
geotools-wrapper (1.4.0-28.2?) on Maven?
