The
[maven-remote-resources-plugin|http://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-remote-resources-plugin/]
will automatically generate NOTICE, LICENSE and DEPENDENCIES files and put
them in each jar file's META-INF directory. Use of this plugin is becoming
widespread at the ASF for Java projects and it allows us to see at a glance a
list of dependencies.
