Yeah, I like #2 best as well. The only that strikes me as add, is
that e.g. at the top right of that logo, you get the impression that
there's an orange line right next to a blue line. Not sure what the
best way is to 'improve' that:
- drop the blue line and fade in the orange line into the orb?
- move the orange behind the orb as a glow ?
- move the orange inside the icon, e.g. highlighting random lines and
dots inside ?

Nice work... I like #12 as well but I agree with Claus and I would
like to see a more modern font. I like a nice and simple font when
combined with a graphic icon or logo. I usually prefer the logo
graphic on the right side so that it does not dominate the name, but
that is just my preference.
