AFAIR, I fixed kind of issue on new HTTP endpoints. I will take a deeper
look on the SMXCOMP-796.
Unfortunately, I don't think that there is workaround on the HTTP component.
However, you can try to use the servicemix-cxf-bc component in place of
the HTTP one, or refactore to use Camel.
