I think it's a "requirement" to update the documentation and align with
the next release.

latest patch for the documentation is specific to 4.5.x (documentation for
the Activiti support) so I'll be doing try to get this set up over the next
few days so we can apply his patch and start doing some docs work to

In order to start documenting the new features in Apache ServiceMix
4.5.x (JMS appender, support for Activiti and possibly Akka) in
documentation/trunk, I'll be creating a branch to maintain the 4.4.x
documentation set in a few moments. Once the extra branch is in
place, if you make any changes in the docs that are relevant to both
versions, you will have to merge those changes over to the extra
branch to ensure the information gets added in both locations.
