Unfortunately, I haven't a lot of time myself over the past month and it looks like we didn't really make any progress on this. Last time I worked on it, I made my way up to the NMR layer and upgraded Camel and ActiveMQ there. I already had done some work on upgrading to Karaf 2.3.x as well, but I was still looking into a problem with the JBI itests. I committed what I already had and raised a separate issue https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SMX4NMR-319 to look into the JBI itests. Apart from fixing that issue, we have to upgrade the features project to use all the latest versions of those dependencies. If you would have any cycles to spare to upgrade versions in the features project of look into the JBI itests issue, I'll be more than happy to apply your patches. For features, it's mainly a question of updating the version in the POM and then running the build again to ensure everything still builds properly.
