Hi

I have performed a quick build of ServiceMix with Karaf 2.3.5 from the staging repository. It looks ok

 * build successful
 * testcases successful
 * quick test of the assembly seccessful

In the final upgrade we should check whether we should upgrade any other dependencies.

I think, the staged Karaf release is ok.

Best regards
Krzysztof

Picking up Karaf 2.3.5 is a good idea - it's mostly bug fixes and
dependency updates (which also contain more bug fixes). By the way,
Karaf 2.3.5 RC1 is up for vote

Hi Krzysztof,

Yeah, the main reason we have these branches for doing micro version
releases of ServiceMix is to be able to pick up these fix/micro
versions of our dependencies. We can always pick up some bug fixes of
our own as well, off course ;) So I'm definitely +1 for an upgrade to
2.3.5 on the 5.0.x branch once it is available.

Also, once Karaf 2.3.5 is out, perhaps we should consider doing a
5.1.0 release - I think we have a pull request ready for the upgrade
to Camel 2.13.0 as well, so that way we can get our users going on the
new Camel release.  Wdyt?

Hi

Karaf 2.3.5 will be released soon. We should upgrade the ServiceMix 5.1.x to
the new version. Sould be 5.0.x upgraded too? 5.0.x is a maintenance branch
and only fixes should be committed here. But Karaf 2.3.5 has also only fixes
for 2.3.4. I think, the upgrade should make no problems.

Best regards
Krzysztof
