I'm actually interested in the outbound request signing code. The code today is stored under php/external, which indicates to me that it was imported from some source external to the project.
I was able to chase the thing down to revision r711709 from November 2008. But it's not clear to me where the code came from. There is the oauth-php project at http://code.google.com/p/oauth-php/, but the two codebases seem different enough to indicate the absence of a common ancestor. I'm doing all this code archaeology as part of the work for fixing bug SHINDIG-1274. I've provided a first (and naïve) patch, but am trying to build a definitive one. If the code comes from somewhere outside Shindig, maybe the bug is already fixed and it'll only be a matter of updating to the latest available version.
