I think this is very necesary, include shinding into an existing framework or existent product like Magento or Drupal it's a very dificult job today, requires a lot of hacks to use the diferents autoloaders and bootstraps in order to get the things integrated.
If is posible move the shindig base code into a stand alone library easy to include into a any well-known framework, like Symfony or Zend, could be a big improvement.
