I'm not sure if anyone here will be able to answer your question, you
might want to head over to the Guice mailing list and ask there [1].
Instead of overriding that specific binding you can copy the same code
in your module and remove RenderingGadgetRewriter and just add your
new rewriter.  At least then you can test your implementation and then
go back and find a better way to provide your own implementation.
